"Giving Opportunities to Adults for Learning & Success"
GOALS is a cooperative effort by New Beginnings Enterprises and Independence Community College to offer non-credit adult continuing education opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities, ages 17 and older. Sessions are designed to teach independent living skills and to provide life-enhancing experiences in a community educational and social environment. The curriculum aims to promote growth opportunities and challenge abilities for individuals who desire to live and work as independently as possible and maximize their enjoyment of life.
The Mission of the GOALS Program Our mission is to promote community membership, an interest in academic growth, independence and personal enrichment through continuing education classes that support the needs of persons with developmental disabilities and will enhance the opportunities for individuals to achieve positive outcomes in an educational environment.
